I have a very difficult decision to make. I must choose between my hubby of 20 years, or my three sweet small pups. I am so torn. One should never have to choose, but I think I must. So here is the situation. We have this bench at the end of the bed. We have had it there for at least ten years, maybe more. I would say that at least four days a week poor hubby jams his toe on it getting ready for bed. He wants the bench gone. Possibly set on fire as well. BUT… the pups use the bench to get on and off the bed. I moved it the other day and watched as three pups ran down the hall at full speed, and instead of jumping on the bench then onto the bed, they splatted on the hard wood foot-board. They just ran right into it. SPLAT! THUD! They shook it off and left. But a few minutes later they did it again. SPLAT! THUD! What a horrible noise. The bed is so high up they can’t make it up there without the bench. I’m so sorry hubby. I choose pups in the bed playing and snuggling. This might be a job for a few strategically placed pool noodles. Bright pink!
