Sometimes being a parent is a dirty job. Okay it is always a dirty job, but lets just focus on this one incident. I didn’t fully tell my children why we were going to the doctors, I kept it vague. I couldn’t honestly tell you if it was because I didn’t want my children to think about it for too long or if I didn’t want to hear two children screaming and crying the whole time. We waited in the doctors office patiently and all was good. The nurse then called us in and she got to work right away. Flu Shots. The youngest was seated first and once he spotted the shots the screaming and crying commenced. Very VERY loudly. I felt horrible. The oldest basset decided he wasn’t gonna take this lying down so he just made a run for it down the long hall. The kid is fast, but hubby is faster (Thanks Hubby!! Nice catch!!) When we returned to the lobby the faces of the children were full of terror. Yup, your turn kids, have fun!
