For gosh sakes! It’s Saturday morning, the kids are sleeping at grandma’s house. I should be thinking about me. Me Me ME!! Maybe I want to spend some “Me Time” painting my toes, or maybe run a brush through my hair for once. What on Earth will I be thinking about after the walk-a-thon is over? Nothing!

Book One of the Watchers
From the outside, Paul Bennett appears to be an ordinary high school senior from small-town Kentucky. But Paul has a secret. He possesses an extraordinary gift which allows him to leave his body during the night and go anywhere, see anything—unseen, undetected.
Unbeknownst to Paul, he is not alone in his ability—there are others who can do what he can and they belong to Astralis, a government agency funded by the United Nations who train people like Paul to become spies. When one of their scouts recognizes Paul for what he is, he is offered a place in the agency.
Paul makes a new life at Astralis, forging new friendships and inadvertently creating new enemies. Through the mentoring of the agency’s director, Dr. Abrams, Paul finds a place where he finally feels he belongs.
Unfortunately, Astralis is an organization under siege from within. Not everyone feels Dr. Abrams is a fit director, and some are willing to do anything to make a change of leadership—even murder.

What they uncover is an ancient Roman imperial stratagem so controversial the Curiafears it could undermine the very foundations of the Roman Catholic faith–much like the secrets emerging from the Vatican in today’s news.

Just A Minor Perspective: Through The Eyes of a Minor League Rookie
Eric Pettis
(41 Reviews)
Genre: Sports & Outdoors
FREE for a limited time
The minor leagues are largely misunderstood, more well known for the players who have skipped through their ranks than the ones who reside in them. They’re a mysterious land of hotels, bus rides, and clubhouses. Upon being drafted out of UC Irvine by the Phillies, right-handed pitcher Eric Pettis didn’t quite know what he was getting himself into.
Just A Minor Perspective allows readers to jump into Eric’s mind and experience the journey along with him. The narrative resembles stream-of-consciousness as he describes the good, the bad, and the ugly of the minor leagues as it hits him square in the face for the first time.
From his first day in Philadelphia…
“I tried to open the door in a manner that would exude confidence in the off chance that my new teammate was an expert on body language and would be analyzing my entry.”
To the heat of the battle…
“As I hopped over the foul line I could feel my body try to rev itself up. It was pleading with me to get something going. It knew how significant this was… As hard as my body tried, it couldn’t muster anything. I tried again and again to turn the key, but my engine just wouldn’t start.”
Eric gives an honest, pointed, and often humorous account of what he feels when he’s feeling it. Just A Minor Perspective is a gripping story of one man’s attempt to find his place in a new world; a scramble to conquer the first rung of the professional baseball ladder.
