As a birthday gift to my hubby and me, my in-laws gave us two nights at an old Victorian bed and breakfast. I have never stayed in an old Victorian before and at first I was a little nervous about just how intimate it was. I felt like I was in someones house. Which of course is the point and the charm of a bed and breakfast. I easily got settled in though when I saw the garden and chicken coop in the backyard. Right now with the windows open I can hear the chickens clucking while the scent of a citrus tree just outside lingers in. Okay… ya, I could get used to this. Note to self…buy a citrus tree on the way home.

His wasn’t a great life, but it was comfortable–at least it was until the morning he awoke with an egg between his legs.
