I am feeling pretty darn good about the turkey stock I made now that it is divided up and stored in the freezer. This cooking thing isn’t so bad. I think I might find a few good soup recipes that require stock and make a few freezer meals. I should store up for winter this year since it is going to be a rough one. I saw a “How To” segment on the news the other day on the proper use of sandbags. I pretty much ignored it, but now I feel a bit bad about that. It would be just my luck that I am the only one in town who didn’t watch the video and I will just use them to make sandbag snowmen for the front yard.

Seventeen-year-old Ari Alexander just broke that rule and saw the last person she expected hovering above her bed — arrogant Jackson Locke, the most popular boy in her school. She expects instant execution or some kind of freak alien punishment, but instead, Jackson issues a challenge: help him, or everyone on Earth will die. Ari knows she should report him, but everything about Jackson makes her question what she’s been taught about his kind. And against her instincts, she’s falling for him. But Ari isn’t just any girl, and Jackson wants more than her attention. She’s a military legacy who’s been trained by her father and exposed to war strategies and societal information no one can know–especially an alien spy, like Jackson. None of these meals are expensive so if you are on a budget these recipes will work for your family. Most recipes are shown in vegan format, but you can make them vegetarian by using dairy products.
