Hubby and I have been avoiding it, but the baby bassets are getting impatient. They want the last of their Christmas presents cut out of the packages. Now I don’t need to tell you how awful those packages are. We all know they are 99% impossible to get into, but because of the 1% chance we can actually get it open, the kids will ask and ask until one of us makes it happen. I have two ways to deal with this situation. I clean something. I haven’t stopped moving for a day and a half. I am like a shark. If I stop I will die (I think that’s how sharks work). The baby bassets are forced to ask dad to open the packages if mom is busy cleaning dishes or the toilets. Everyone knows I am a grumpy cleaner, so it’s best to never ask me for anything when I am cleaning. My second tactic is to throw a cookie at them. This only distracts them for a few minutes, but they leave such a mess I have to clean it up. It’s a never ending circle. Perfection!
