Today is the day! The big day I have been working so hard for…Garage Sale Day. I have no clue why, but I am nervous. The same feeling as if I am going to do a solo performance of Swan Lake, but I haven’t practiced, or seen Swan Lake. My nerves might be a little on edge this morning for another reason. I am hearing something HUGE in the attic. I am pretty sure it’s a monster dragging it’s victims across the beams. Seriously huge. You can’t be surprised that I would think that. I read a lot of horror novel descriptions… I know how this works. The real kicker is that I have spent the last few weeks going through that attic…..alone….. EEEKKK SOMETHING WAS WATCHING ME!!!

Gordon Robertson
4.4 Stars (135 Reviews)
Genre: Biographies & Memoirs | History

By March 1945, when Ben Robertson took to the skies above Japan in his B-29 Superfortress, the end of World War II in the Pacific seemed imminent. But although American forces were closing in on its home islands, Japan refused to surrender, and American B-29s were tasked with hammering Japan to its knees with devastating bomb runs. That meant flying low-altitude, night-time incendiary raids under threat of flak, enemy fighters, mechanical malfunction, and fatigue. It may have been the beginning of the end, but just how soon the end would come – and whether Robertson and his crew would make it home – was far from certain.
