I guess chickens don’t hold grudges. I just can’t figure out how Naughty can chase, ruthlessly peck at, and just be all around mean to the new chickens, (Stella, Iggy, and Trudy), but then snuggle up to at night. Every night all four of them squeeze in close to each other and sleep in a fluffy pile in the coop. Wait.. I thought you guys hated each other. The new chickens even make it a game during the day to ambush naughty while she is out in the grass. They run up behind her, jump on her back and run off. Naughty pecks on their heads pretty darn hard when the treats come out, yet when the sun goes down all is forgiven. Okay then chickens. You do what you do.

Obsession. Treachery. Revenge. Redemption.
Certain themes resonate across the centuries. In ninth-century Ireland, Selia is a girl on the verge of womanhood, frustrated by the confines of her gender and resentful of the freedom her brother boasts of. Intelligent and resourceful in a time when neither is valued in a female, she longs for an escape from her sheltered existence. Fascinated by the tales of Viking raids told by her maidservant, Selia’s hunger for independence is fed through the stories of heathen ferocity she hears at the woman’s knee. A decision to sneak to the city’s harbor to view the Viking longships leads to an encounter with Alrik Ragnarson, a charismatic Viking warlord whose outward beauty masks a dark and tortured mind. With the knowledge that her father is about to announce her betrothal to a man she doesn’t love, Selia marries Alrik and within a day is on the longship bound for Norway and a new life. While Selia’s relationship with her new husband grows, her friendship with his brother Ulfrik grows as well. And as Alrik’s character flaws come to light and tension mounts between the two brothers, Selia begins to have misgivings about her hasty marriage… especially when a secret from the past is revealed, one that threatens to destroy them all.

Barney McGee, a retiree to South Florida, and his next door neighbor, Willey Pulaski, (who looks a lot like a garden gnome) and Willey’s beer drinking monkey, Oscar (don’t ask… ) are fighting to save their mobile home park from John Flaherty, a ruthless developer. When the Park’s resident lawyer, Freddy, is murdered in the middle of the night, Willey thinks it was Flaherty’s doing. Freddy was representing the park’s efforts to stop the developer. Determined to save their homes, Barney and Willey break into Flaherty’s offices looking for evidence–with disastrous results. Then Barney meets Eduardo, a young under cover FBI agent, and Eduardo’s strangely beautiful, gun toting, grandmother, Sofie. Barney is captivated by Sofie’s dark Mediterranean eyes, and the way she fills out her jeans. Eduardo is investigating a Florida Senator who is rumored to be taking bribes from a developer… the same developer that wants to destroy Barney and Willey’s mobile home park. When they get a lead on Flaherty’s right hand man, the information takes them to Caledesi Island. There they spy Flaherty’s boat, with Florida Senator Joshua Buckland aboard, cavorting with young girls. Now they know how Flaherty has been able to get whatever he wants. But back home in the park, Barney, Willey and Oscar, are under fire. Barney discovers a bomb planted under his house, and a Molotov Cocktail is hurled at Willey’s house in the middle of the night. With an assist from Eduardo, Barney, Willey, and Oscar, roam South Florida fighting the developer and his murderous minions, local corruption, and an ethically challenged, drug addled, United States Senator. When they are seen photographing a bribe being handed to the Senator by the developer’s lawyer, their lives are in danger. They, and Oscar, flee into The Green Swamp, where they hide out in a chickee until discovered–and then to a tree house which meets its end in a hurricane. Agent Eduardo rescues them and takes them to his grandmother Sofie’s house, which she operates as a safe house for the FBI. Determined to save their homes, they set off on a Quixotic mission to stop the developer any way they can… short of murder!
