I’m feeling pretty darn good right now. I have planted all the red and white onions, garlic, and short and sweet carrots in my raised garden boxes. I love the set it and forget it sort of gardening that comes with these types of crops. Just a little bit of effort now, and I get a huge reward come harvest time. Last year I started the onions super late, but by Fall I still had an awesome harvest. Since I have planted them earlier I am looking forward to a summer harvest that I can enjoy while we are camping. I really enjoy the home grown veggies on our camping trips. For some reason they are just that much more satisfying. Although all food tastes great when you’re camping.

Five-Star-Chef Zoe Griffin walked away from her dream job. Did she make a mistake?
Her engagement off, Zoe Griffin retreats to tiny Wildflower Island in the Puget Sound. Hiding out as a cook and maid at a shabby bed-and-breakfast seems crazy for a chef who’s used to running her own five-star kitchen. And just as she starts to feel at home, her klutzy mishaps make Zoe fear her handsome new boss will fire her.
Dr. Nick Jackson is done with medicine, and owning a B&B is as far from doctoring as he can get. He needs help, but his only employee’s mistakes give him doubts. As Zoe lets her defenses down, Nick begins to see a competent and caring woman. One whose wounds are as deep as his own. But as they fall for each other, Nick and Zoe must learn the hardest lesson of all — to forgive. Only then can they heal the past and embrace the future… together.

The mission? Practically off-the-charts impossible.
Four men must infiltrate (on foot) 30+ miles into Pakistan and abduct a key VIP of the Taliban.
These men will be offered no support. No air support. No radios. No chance of rescue.
And if they’re caught or killed, America will deny their existence.
This is how the mission in Afghanistan begins for Nick Woods and your favorite members of S3 (Marcus, Truck, and Red).
And unfortunately for them, it only gets worse from there…
Nick Woods and his private, military security company (Shield, Safeguard, and Shelter, or “S3”) are deployed to Afghanistan by directive of the U.S. government. Their mission is nothing less than to save the government (and country) of Afghanistan.
A clock is ticking and the Taliban is poised to seize the capital city of Kabul, taking over the country for good. The Taliban are stronger than ever, and well-led by an impressive spiritual warrior, who is respected across the country by most of the people of Afghanistan.
Making matter worse, America’s political leadership is sick of investing men and resources into a war that’s now lasted 15 years.
Nick and his team are sent to somehow find a way of dealing with the looming threat, and though the mission is impossible enough as it’s already drawn up, they’ll soon find out that their enemies aren’t only in Afghanistan.

This is a book about the remarkable life of Thea Woolf, the Head Nurse of the Jewish Hospital in Alexandria, Egypt, during World War II. It is about choosing one’s own road, about the power of human will and the love of mankind. Thea speaks from the heart; she is real and inspiring, strong and wise – an unforgettable role model who has been called “Sister Theresa of the Middle East.” This is not only an exciting and revealing personal account, but also a kaleidoscope of astonishing historical episodes from World War II, giving the reader a sense of having lived through those important events. Its narrative registers a strong protest against war and also instills in us the hope that it can one day be banished from our lives forever. This fascinating biography shows Muslim-Jewish harmony that gives hope for the future. Whoever knew that Muslim Egyptians helped Egyptian Jews save Jewish refugees from the horrors of the Nazi Holocaust during World War II? In this book, we discover how Thea Woolf initiated and led this heroic mission. The close collaboration depicted between Alexandrian Jews and Egyptians, and their vital cooperation in saving Jews from the Nazi Holocaust, is an important example of what the relationship between Israelis and Palestinians could be today. The amity with which Muslims and Jews lived in the recent past proffers the hope that it is possible to aspire to such a reality in the future. The Woman in White: An Extraordinary Life, also describes the wonderful Jewish Hospital in Alexandria, that saved the lives of many soldiers of the Allied army under Montgomery, fighting Rommel at El Alamein. This is an extraordinary book that should be read by all!
