It rained like a crazy yesterday from the minute we started to hook the trailer up to the truck, then stopped the moment we finished. That seems sort of rude of mother nature. To be honest though, if I were her that is exactly the kind of stuff I would do to humans. A LOT! I wouldn’t mess with lightening, but water… Oh ya. All the time. We got to the Yogi Bear Campground yesterday with just clouds in the sky and no rain, so the baby bassets were able to enjoy the bouncy pillow for the entire afternoon. It’s very strange here. Except for two or three other trailers on the other side of the park, this place is empty. I think I saw a few kids arrive late in the afternoon, so hopefully my boys will have people to play with. Although, I think they rather enjoy having everything to themselves. We have mastered the social distancing thing here, and with how much rain is coming down this morning, we stepped up our game. With two dogs, two kids, one cat, a hubby, and me. It is hardly lonely.

Island Chaptal — nerdy IT engineer by day, romance novel junkie by night — just walked into her messy New York apartment to find Mr. Right waiting for her. No, wait… Mr. Clean.
A gentleman professional killer with a bad case of OCD and zero tolerance for unsorted laundry, March wants the diamond her late mother stole for a sinister criminal organization. Island agrees to help him find it, facing the kind of adversaries who dismember first and ask questions later. Good thing she’s got March to show her the ropes. And the guns. And the knives.
The buttoned-up Island is soon having a blast racing from Paris to Tokyo following the clues in her mother’s will, and for the first time, she’s ready to get close to someone. For real. And it could be the tropiest, cheesiest romance ever between her and a brooding hero with impeccable manners and sexy chest hair, if only the bullets would stop raining, dammit.

“A compelling narrative of survival and redemption.” –Robert Lindsey, author of The Falcon and the Snowman
Forty years before the names Snowden and Manning entered the world’s cultural lexicon, Christopher Boyce and Andrew Daulton Lee became America’s youngest convicted spies–condemned to federal prison in 1977 for their roles in one of the most highly publicized espionage cases in Cold War history.
Yet the story of their crime, as told in the book and movie The Falcon and the Snowman, was only the beginning.
Locked away in some of the country’s most violent and inhospitable prisons, Boyce and Lee survived repeated attempts on their lives and years of solitary confinement before a young and idealistic paralegal, Cait Mills, attempted to put them on the path to freedom. Diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, Mills’ determination to continue her work while battling the illness ultimately changed all three of their lives.
American Sons: The Untold Story of the Falcon and the Snowman is an incredible true story told by the people who lived it–a narrative of survival against impossible odds, a case study on the indomitability of the human spirit, and a testament to the transformative power of forgiveness.
The 40th anniversary edition of American Sons includes new and expanded content, including numerous articles written by Christopher Boyce for the Minneapolis Star Tribune during the late ’80s and early ’90s that shed stark light on life behind prison walls.
