She had to go. Hubby and I loaded her up last night and took her to her new forever home…on a farm, far far away. Yesterday we had two huge swarms of bees come through my yard, and my hive went nuts. The two swarms landed in a huge ball on a tree, and the other neighbor I share a back fence with, asked me if I could help her nieces friend catch it. She was just starting beekeeping and this would be her first swarm catch and hive. I was more than happy to do so. It was an easy catch and I showed her what I know. It was an exciting day for her. It was a bit of a sad day for me. The swarm I had caught last year, and was so proud of, had to go. She has gone to my partner in crimes house. Right next to the other seven swarms I have caught with the last week. She has a huge property and if they all want to go nuts and fly everywhere, that will be just fine.
