I am finally getting around to doing a purge of clothes and stuff from both of my baby bassets rooms. Yesterday we cleared out a bunch of clothes that no longer fits or is worn out. Turns out my babies only have about 5 t-shirts they actually wear. The rest was just gathering dust. It was a huge job, so we left the toy clearing out for today. My big dilemma is that a lot of my Legos are on their shelves. I have no clue where to put them other than their rooms. My toys are the ones cluttering up their shelves. I could just walk away and do nothing. Maybe they wont notice until they are adults.

Christine Stewart is a regular woman just doing her job when she becomes stranded in history. When she gets up for the day, her plan is simple: wake up and head off to work, traveling back in time to Oklahoma in 1867 to deport a cyber-criminal. After work, it’s back to 2070 Los Angeles to prepare for a vacation with her son, Michael.
That’s the plan.
Then the system fails, leaving Christine–and dozens of other transporters around the world–stranded in the past with minimal training and no supplies.
What starts as a bad situation only gets worse when she is flung even further away to a place in time where her actions and decisions mean so much more to the world than whether or not she ever makes it home again.
As her goals shift from simply getting home to something much more dire to all of humanity, Christine must make the choice between what is easy and what is right. Even if it costs her everything–including her one chance of ever getting home.

“What is happening to all of us?” I began to wonder. Most of my friends and I were in our mid-20s, recently invincible, with our whole lives ahead of us. I thought about how we all had so much to be thankful for, and then wondered: how we could be so dominated by anxiety? Stress? Panic attacks? Depression? How had our health become the price of getting the things we believed would make us happy? We always wanted to be happy and healthy, but we wound up on the road to being neither. Soon, I began to wonder, “What’s missing?” but after spending time around people who appeared to have everything, I realized I had everything too. My happiness and health turned from a question of what was missing into a question of what needed to be given up.
Where the Rubber Meets the Road is a lot of things. It is a long look in the rearview mirror. It is a twisting and turning love story. It is a roadmap to help you give up things that are leading you astray and ultimately preventing you from having the life you dream about. So buckle up and prepare to hit a few bumps. More importantly, enjoy the ride along a road that leads to seeing and experiencing more beauty in your life. Your destination is glorious so long as you stay present and mind the rules of the road.
Ask yourself, “What is at stake if I never change?” If you are ready – like really ready – to make some life-enrichening, transformational changes to yourself, this book is for you. Scroll up and buy yourself a copy.
