My love for free things is getting a bit weird. It was raining pretty good yesterday, so I put out as many containers as I could find to catch as much of the rainwater as possible. This morning I went out to see how much I collected, and you would have thought I struck gold I was so happy. I ran from bucket to pot giddy as could be. I am not completely crazy because I am certain we are heading into a few drought years soon, so this is just smart planning ahead. It’s still weird though. This morning I am off to the salvage yard to get another drum to put my liquid treasure in. I wonder if ten year old me would ever have imagined that adult me would be going this nuts over a bucket of water. If I ever get the chance to go back in time and visit ten year old me, I think I will keep this little tidbit of information to myself.

From USA Today Bestselling Author, Uvi Poznansky, comes an epic WWII love story spanning three romance volumes:
The Music of Us
In 1970, Lenny can no longer deny that his wife is undergoing a profound change. Despite her relatively young age, her mind succumbs to forgetfulness. Now, he goes as far back as the moment he met Natasha during WWII, when he was a wounded warrior and she — a star, brilliant yet illusive. Natasha was a riddle to him then, and to this day, with all the changes she has gone through, she still is.
“Digging into the past, mining its moments, trying to piece them together this way and that, dusting off each memory of Natasha, of how we were, the highs and lows of the music of us, to find out where the problem may have started?”
To their son, Ben, that may seem like an exercise in futility. For Lenny, it is a necessary process of discovery, one that is as tormenting as it is delightful. He often wonders: can we ever understand, truly understand each other — soldier and musician, man and woman, one heart and another? Will we ever again dance together to the same beat? Is there a point where we may still touch?
Dancing with Air
Fooling Nazi espionage may cost Lenny the trust of the girl who captured his heart. Will Natasha discover his secret D-Day reports, disguised as love letters to another woman?
In these letters, Lenny gives the enemy misleading information about allied plans. Once Natasha arrives in London, he takes her for a ride on his Harley throughout England, from the White Cliffs of Dover to a village near an underground ammunition depot in Staffordshire. When he is wounded in a horrific explosion, she brings him back to safety, only to discover the other woman’s letter to him. Will love survive the test of war?
In the past Natasha wrote, with girlish infatuation, “He will be running his fingers down, all the way down to the small of my back, touching his lips to my ear, breathing his name, breathing mine. Here I am, dancing with air.” In years to come, she will begin to lose her memory, which will make Lenny see her as fragile. “I gather her gently into my arms, holding her like a breath.” But right now, she is at her peak. She is ready to take charge of the course of their story.
Marriage before Death
After D-Day, her photograph appears on the most-wanted Nazi propaganda posters. Who is the girl with the red beret? She reminds him of Natasha, but no, that cannot be. Why does Rochelle step into his life when he is lead by SS soldiers to the gallows? At the risk of being found out as a French Resistance fighter, what makes her propose marriage to a condemned man?

The Baby Losers Club: A Novella in Pieces
by Tara Wine-Queen

Genre: Contemporary Fiction | Family Life
FREE for a limited time
Riley and Jules have been best friends for most of their lives. Now in their thirties, they have both struggled to have a family, and Jules suggests they start a club for people who like them have gone through infertility, miscarriage, and child loss. Riley is hesitant, worried how the club might affect her struggles with depression over her inability to conceive and keep a child, but she ultimately agrees, and The Baby Losers Club is born.
Excerpt from The Baby Losers Club
The first time it had happened, she had been sleeping, so she wasn’t aware when her body evacuated the tiny clump of cells she had been expecting to mature into a baby; she had no opportunity to protest or make a case on its behalf.
She woke up, and it was already over, the remnants of her hope deposited in her underwear, a tiny lost war, a bloodied cotton battlefield.
She had known that this might happen. She had read that first pregnancies were the most likely to miscarry, knew that at ten weeks, she was still within the perimeters of likely miscarriage. This hadn’t lessened her devastation at the time; she burned with disappointment and shame when she told her husband who had already been at work when she awoke that day.
The second time was worse. The second time, it wasn’t a formless battlefield which made its way into her underwear. The second time there was shape; there was a visual she wouldn’t shake for the whole of her life. Her hand cupped the raw form, closer this time to the baby she had hoped it would grow into.
There was the specific fear of the second time. The first miscarriage, that was hard, but it was bearable. It happened sometimes, especially with a first pregnancy. But the second time, she saw that her body was building a pattern.
The third time was proof. God, the universe, whatever was in charge didn’t want her to have a baby.
“We will have a baby,” her husband had said that time, kneeling in front of her damp body, fresh from the shower in which she had tried to wash the blood from her thighs and hands. “It’ll happen when it’s supposed to. You know that, right?”
And she had wanted to say yes. She had wanted to grab him and pull him close to her and feel the blood that pumped through him warm her and fortify her with its certainty.
