This year for the annual Christmas Cookie Baking Extravaganza I added two new cookies to the mix. The first was a Vanilla Bean Sugar cookie. That was a huge waste of time, so I won’t go on about it. Let’s just say I was hoping for a real nice vanilla bean flavor, and all I got was a regular sugar cookie baked with fancy vanilla beans that I can’t taste. GRRR. The pain of that failure was quickly lost once I tried the second cookie. The Raspberry Lemon Cookie. OH MY GOLLY!!!! So tasty. I can’t stop eating them. I posted the recipe on my other site Pollen Patch, so you can check them out. They are quick and easy, and sooooo tasty. Not like those rotten Vanilla Bean Sugar cookies…jerks.

DCI James Quinn is haunted by past mistakes: his failure to secure the conviction of a vicious killer; and his failure to prevent the tragic death of his beloved wife.
By day, he works to rescue sex-trafficked women and bring down the clandestine criminal network involved in their enslavement. By night, he toils covertly to prove that his tormentor, Troy Perkins, is the “Dell Ripper” — the man responsible for the murder and disembowelment of a trafficked sex worker.
As the two-year anniversary of the murder approaches and convinced the fledgling killer is ready to strike again, James enlists the help of a local journalist to appeal for new information. But events soon take a rapid turn for the worse when another body is discovered in circumstances bearing the grim hallmarks of the Dell Ripper.
Meanwhile, the wife of a wealthy businessman is looking forward to celebrating their wedding anniversary. The evening doesn’t go exactly to plan, and by the morning another murder has been added to James Quinn’s burgeoning caseload.
Close to breaking point, can James summon the strength to stop the emboldened killer who now has James’s new love interest firmly in his sights?
Stolen Lives is a grisly and disturbing thriller, set in the Home Counties, revealing that these horrors can exist in the most unremarkable places — even right on our own doorstep…

Holidate: A Dating Series Holiday Novel
by Monica Murphy
(385 Reviews)
Genre: Romance | Holidays
FREE for a limited time
From New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy comes a standalone holiday romance with a grumpy, holiday hating Christmas tree farmer and a woman who embraces the holiday season with her whole heart…
Candice Gaines loves Christmas. Not only does she bask in the twinkling lights, sing Christmas carols and go crazy with the decorations, she’s also in the giving spirit, donating much of her time and wealth to various charities in the local area.
Charlie Sullivan despises Christmas. Though it keeps his family afloat, considering they own Sullivan Family Christmas Tree Farm, the main provider for Christmas trees on the Monterey peninsula. He’d much rather work among the trees versus have to deal with people.
But Charlie’s parents are taking on more philanthropic projects — and as their oldest child, they want him to be their official public representative. He just has to play nice and convince everyone he’s not a total holiday hater.
When Charlie’s mom asks Candice to accompany him to a variety of holiday parties and events, she reluctantly agrees. She thinks Charlie is a big ol’ Grinch, but is determined to change his mindset and help him spread Christmas cheer. Charlie finds Candice is too chatty, too sweet, too much. Do people like her really exist?
Why yes, yes they do. The more time they spend together — along with a few kisses under the mistletoe — the more they start to like each other. Hopefully Charlie can convince Candice he doesn’t have a heart that’s two sizes too small before the ball drops on New Year’s Eve.
