What day is it? Where am I? Road tripping is not as easy and relaxing at it sounds. Don’t get me wrong, I am having fun. I am really loving spending all this time with my hubby and both of my boys. Before we know it they will have graduated from high school and be out starting their own lives from home. I planned this trip though knowing there was one big issue. I have a huge fear of riding as a passenger in a car, and I am very afraid of cliffs. So what did I do? I planned a trip along highway 101, that seems to be all cliffs and there is no way either one of us wants to drive the entire trip. I will admit it is an amazing drive and I really wanted to experience it with my boys. Yesterday was rough for me. First thing in the morning we went to the Seal Lions Caves. I drove over there and it was absolute terror for me. The road is right on the edge of the steepest, scariest cliffs. But I sucked it up and did it. FOR MY BOYS! After that we enjoy a scenic ride through the sand dunes on a giant dune-buggy, spent two hours at the Oregon Military Museum (amazing), and then enjoyed ice cream downtown walking around checking out the cute shops. All the while though I was thinking about how I would have to do that drive with the cliffs again the next day. I just have to keep telling myself, “For My Boys!”
