My hubby is a little confused with me. This month long trip up the west coast in our motorhome that we are doing with the baby bassets in a few weeks is completely unplanned. We are just getting in the RV and driving. I usually go nuts if there is no plan with reservations, timelines, and even back-up plans. Usually that would stress me out to no end. Thing is, I have done this before with my dad when I was a kid. We didn’t have Google Maps, online reservations, or even phones. What we did have was a paper map, a book that listed KOA’s and another that listed other motels and campgrounds. We didn’t call in advance and make reservations (no cell phones), we just showed up. 9 times out of 10 there was space. I am not sure if that is still the case these days. This trip will be a learning trip, and unlike when I was a kid, we always have the internet to help.
