My youngest turned 16 last March and like a lot of kids these days, has no desire to get his driver’s license. I don’t get it. When I was his age I couldn’t get my license fast enough. I was so excited about the freedom being able to drive would give me. You all know I have a fear of riding in cars, even with an experienced driver? Well, the thought of teaching my youngest to drive was completely out of the question. That was until yesterday when it really hit me that I would now be back to dropping off and picking up my youngest from school every single day. Hmmph.. not sure I really want that when the weather gets cold. Yesterday was my first time teaching my youngest to drive. I am feeling pretty proud of myself. We didn’t leave the neighborhood, nor did we get over 15 miles an hour. But I did it and I will call that progress. Seems I have less of a desire to leave the house early in the morning as I do to ride with an inexperienced driver. YIKES!
