Yesterday was the hottest day of the year getting as high as 109 degrees. Naturally I thought to myself, “This seems like a good time to paint the sunniest part of the house”. I didn’t actually plan to paint the front of the house, I just sort of meandered into it. I was watering the plants, and just could not stop looking at the sun baked, cracked, and faded paint on the house. It looked pretty awful. It was around 11:30 when I was fully regretting my life choices. Thankfully I was done around noon and was able to get back in the house and drink a gallon of water. Today is going to be another hot one. I am going to try my hardest not to think about re-roofing the house. The roof is fine, but I don’t have full confidence in my choice of activities these days.
