I am so mad and upset. GRRRRRRR!!! I finally had birds nesting in my yard and a crow came and destroyed the nest that had eggs. The crow was absolutely ruthless. Once again I was in my front yard, in my robe, ranting and waving my angry fists at the evil crow. Is he really evil? Nooooo. I get it… circle of life, and nature bla bla bla. I still hate it. Hubby said he would build me a few bird houses to make it safe for the nesting birds. I wonder how safe they will be from the crows. I think I saw a few with tools belts and phones. Those guys are just too smart.

No Hitmen in Heaven is a fast-paced, explosive crime thriller set in the same universe as laugh-out-loud Private Investigator Jake Hancock. We hope you enjoy it!

What would you do to get to paradise?

Killing is a business, even if it’s a messy one.

Hitman Blake Elvis only has a few more kills to make before he retires on a remote island off the coast of Thailand. He’s killing for his wife, who was maimed in an auto wreck, to give her the life she deserves. But getting out of the game without cuffs on his wrists might not go like clockwork, not if retired FBI Agent Bob Lamb has his say, or “going straight” mob boss Jimmy Balbone.

Cue Peter Hammersmith, a movie producer who went all in on a major motion picture flop, and now he can’t even afford a pool guy. He hires Blake Elvis to “whack” his aunt, whose apartment on Hollywood Boulevard he pays the mortgage for. The hit should be simple. In and out.

But when a neighbor knocks on the apartment door, the hit takes a curious turn, and Blake finds out making it to paradise isn’t as simple as buying a plane ticket.

No Hitmen in Heaven is the story of one man’s need for redemption, another’s inability to let go of an obsession, and one gangster’s loose definition of the term legitimate.

Aurora & Joy are back in their 3rd whodunnit… and this one is a doozy!

Recently sober after decades spent numbing his emotions stemming from the premature death of his one true love, Joy’s uncle, Beppe, finally seemed to be in a good place. But life has a way of throwing you a curveball when you least expect it. And Beppe certainly wasn’t expecting to be murdered.

The news is difficult for everyone to hear, especially Joy, who is immediately suspected of committing the crime simply because she was the last person known to be with Beppe. Of course, Joy’s family means everything to her and everyone knows what a ridiculous supposition that is. Everyone, that is, other than the new chief of police.

To Aurora, it is unclear whether Chief Finley truly believes this theory or if he is simply trying to stir up the case and those involved. But, either way, one thing is for certain: his harshness and lack of empathy will not be tolerated. Her best friend should be mourning the loss of her beloved uncle in peace, not having to defend herself against a ridiculous accusation.

So, it looks like Aurora is going to have to step in and get to the bottom of things… again!

(This book is a sweet, low-heat, closed-door romcom. If you’re looking for a spicy read, you won’t find it here!)

I deceived him for four years.

Ash and I were childhood pen pals. He thought I was a boy, and I never told him I wasn’t. Since we lived in different states, he’d never find out. Right?

Wrong. Well, he didn’t figure it out when we were kids, but now we’re sitting a few tables away from each other in a downtown Chicago restaurant, and I’m about to be exposed as a fraud.

I know what you’re thinking: Just keep your mouth shut, and he won’t know who you are.

Wrong, again. My lunch companion and co-worker, Wendy, knows him. Wait. Let me amend that. She’s infatuated with him. Oh, yes. My newest friend has a crush on the boy I betrayed. What are the odds? Infinitely low. That’s what they are.

To top things off, Ash’s brother just saved me from choking to death. It’s been an eventful lunch, to say the least. And now Wendy is determined to stop by their table to thank him again and to flirt with Ash.

He’s going to hate me, right?

Please tell me I’m wrong.

More Than Pen Pals is a childhood-friends-to-lovers Throwback RomCom set in the late 1980s. It reads like a contemporary romance novel with all the tropes, closed-door chemistry, and banter, but the relationship evolves without the use of cell phones or the Internet. Dating was a whole different game in the 80s!
