It will be Monday when you read this, but I am writing this on Sunday morning at 6:30. Ugh.. that seems very messy, but I have good reason for the oddness. WE ARE ON THE ROAD AGAIN! Our Spring break trip that started last Friday will take us to Santa Barbara, Joshua Tree, Death Valley, then Yosemite. As I am writing this right now I can already tell you I am exhausted. What would be a Book Basset RV trip without a few trips to O’Reilly auto-parts store. We didn’t even make it off our street before the Check Engine light came on. It was 2pm on a Friday and we had to get moving. Plus, it might just be a little glitch and the light will soon turn off. Maybe a few revs of the engine. Maybe it just needed to warm up. Unfortunately that would not be the case. No, I am not leaving you with a cliff hanger. If you want to read about our trip check, I have it for you on my other blog Pollen Patch. You can see where we are and what we are up to by clicking here. Keep checking in for updates. I post when I can.

Out for a day’s adventure exploring the dry bed of Lake Travis in Austin, Texas, two young boys stumble upon a skeleton. It might be all that remains of a fugitive named Randy Bear Heart. Wanted for robbing three banks and killing three cops, Bear Heart was never brought to justice. The FBI is called on to determine how the outlaw avoided arrest for twenty-five years and who put him in the lake wearing chains. The BIA — Bureau of Indian Affairs — gets the very same job. Special Agent John Tall Wolf is put on the case because one of the dead cops was a Native American who worked at the Mercy Ridge Reservation. The FBI wants John to “coordinate all your efforts” through SAC Gilbert Melvin. John is having none of that, saying, “I’ll conduct my investigation as I see fit.” He doesn’t even get along with his own boss, Marlene Flower Moon, head of the BIA’s Office of Justice Services. While interviewing John for his job, Marlene was amused by his assertiveness, and asked him, “What do you want, a license to take scalps?” John said, “Yeah, that’d be good.”

Origins of Disobedience: Creation, Rebellion, and God’s Plan for Restoration
What if the story of creation was not just about the beginning, but also a key to understanding God’s ultimate plan for humanity’s future? Origins of Disobedience invites you to dive deep into the grand narrative of the Bible — unveiling how everything started in perfection, how it all went wrong, and how God is working to restore it all.
This fascinating journey is divided into three pivotal sections:
In Section One, step into the breathtaking moment of creation. God designed both the spiritual and physical worlds to exist together in perfect harmony, where the heavens and the earth coexisted in a flawless, unified state. Discover the original beauty and purpose that underpins everything.
Then, in Section Two, witness the tragic moments of rebellion that shattered this harmony. Explore three key events in Scripture: the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, the mysterious rebellion of the Sons of God in Genesis 6, and the prideful building of the Tower of Babel. These rebellious acts didn’t just alter the course of human history — they opened a deeper spiritual conflict that still echoes today.
Finally, Section Three reveals God’s unstoppable plan to restore all things. Beginning with His covenant with Abraham, this section traces the thread of redemption through Scripture, from the promises of the prophets to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It all points to the final victory in the book of Revelation, where Jesus completes the restoration of creation.
Engaging, thought-provoking, and full of rich biblical insight, Origins of Disobedience offers a fresh perspective on some of the most familiar stories in the Bible. But more than that, it asks the question: If God’s plan for restoration has already begun, what part will you play in it?
