I did it! I actually jogged an 8 minute mile! It is a miracle! My friend that I tricked..I mean asked, to do Tough Mudder with me is quite a bit more committed to training for this event than I am. Last night she invited me to a 2.5 mile jog, while our kids practiced football. GASP! 2.5 miles!!?? Erg.. I complain about the one mile around my neighborhood. I agreed to jog because it was good for me and I better get some sort of training in. Well I have to say jogging is a lot better with a friend, and she pushed me to go further and faster than I would have if I was alone. I both hate her and really appreciate her right now. My feet hurt. Okay… this might just work.
