My baby bassets are having a rough morning recovering from last night (hee hee). My partner in crime thought it would be a great idea to do a corn maze at night with both of our families. BRILLIANT! I have never done a corn maze and what a wonderful way to start the Halloween season off. After a good filling dinner we grabbed our flashlights, glow sticks, our sense of adventure, and made our way in to the 4 acre maze. With only one way out they say it should take about 45 minutes. I’m not going to say that’s what happened. It started off great, laughing, joking, twisting, turning. They hubbys seemed pretty happy. Great fun. After about an hour though, the kids got quieter, the hubbys stopped joking. I’m jusyt going to say it….it got a little gloomy. It was when my youngest basset deposited his dinner on a viewing platform that things really took a turn for the worse. When the kids started complaining they want out and my youngest began to cry, I knew the game was over. We made a beeline straight out of the maze and miraculously the children came alive with joy again. Okay…maybe we need to wait a few years.
