Happy Friday! I am really throwing hubby off right now. We have passed quite a few pumpkins at the grocery stores, and I have yet to buy a single one. He even picked through a couple bins full of my favorite gourds, and asked if I wanted to grab a few. Nope. Not in the mood. I feel like I am playing hard to get. Guys love it when you do that, right? That’s how I got my hubby all those years ago. He is such a handsome man and the ladies love him. When we met he wanted to give me his phone number, and I said no thank you. He was five years younger, and at the time that was an issue for me. He didn’t give up and after a few months I finally went out with him. I remember him saying he would not call me every day. I said, “Please don’t”. He also said he was focused on school and could not see me every day. “I told him I have a life and didn’t want to” He also said that he will never take me hunting with him. A loud YUCK from me told him all he needed to know on that subject. Sitting in a swamp in the wee hours of the morning sounds horrible. After all that he made sure to call and see me every day. Haha.. So here we are 23 years later and I am saying no once again, but this time it’s pumpkins. I bet he buys a few when I am not looking.

It was the fur-fect solution

All I ever wanted in life was to be able to enjoy my daily naps, my daily dose of kibble and spend quality time with my friends. But lately Hampton Cove, the small town I like to call home, seems to have become the kind of crime-infested borough you hear so much about in the news. Take last week for instance. First a dead body was found in the field located directly behind our house, and then a girl was kidnapped nearby — all in the space of twenty-four hours! And then of course there was the drama that really gripped, since it struck very close to home indeed: Tex, my human’s dad, discovered a distinct thinning of the hair on top of his head. Immediately he set out for a potential cure to remedy this unmitigated disaster, and thus set off a series of events that will have tongues wagging for a long time to come.
