Every day I put the chickens on the school bus (now a much bigger tote, since they can jump pretty high now) and take them to the backyard for some sunshine and fresh air. Why is it that I feel so bad when they all panic like I am going to make dinner out of them? I get a little insulted, maybe a little hurt that they would be so afraid. It’s not like I am some giant who grabs them right out of their little safe place and puts them in a huge plastic prison shakes them for 2 minutes and then throws them out in the open, just to grab them again later and put them back.
