My pup think I can’t see him. He is 40 pounds and curled up tightly on the very couch he knows he is not supposed to be on. He has managed to make himself the same size as my very large cat. I should yell at him, but the effort he put into sneaking onto the couch and the fact that he can make himself so small makes me think he deserves a few minutes up there.

Friends With Full Benefits is the second book in the Friends With…series. And although the stories are connected, they can be read on their own and book two is a great introduction to the hilarious and complicated world of Jillian and Victoria.

For best-selling romance novelist Jillian Grayson, writer’s block is a thing of the past now that her clandestine relationship with her son’s best friend, Brian Nash, has lifted her out of a post-divorce funk. The prospect of breaking the news to her son seems daunting, but it’s nothing compared to the nightmare of meeting Brian’s superstrict, off-the-wall, disapproving parents. After Jillian, Brian and his younger brother Jim, learn an eye-opening secret about the Nash parents they all go scurrying back to Miami where Jillian’s best friend Victoria finds Brian’s sexy, but innocent college senior brother to be just what the doctor ordered. But when Jim comes on a little too seriously, will Victoria lose interest and return to her life of casual fun or will things get even more complicated?

It’s an edgy and somewhat raunchy romp filled with humor, sex, romance, passion and surprises. Full Benefits will leave you laughing out loud, slightly worked up and maybe even chasing your spouse or partner around the bedroom…

Murders are common. Serial murders are less common. Serial murders committed in two different countries at exactly the same time, in exactly the same way, are unheard of. ..until now.

In Toronto, Inspector Raid McTavish stares at the body of the young woman carefully posed in a bed of purple iris, her throat slashed, almost beheaded, her hands placed to cover her empty eye sockets. He knows this is not a random murder, but the first of more to come. What he doesn’t know is that 2,000 miles away in Tucson, Arizona, Sergeant Gary Ronstadt is viewing an identical crime scene.

Months later, McTavish and Ronstadt meet at a seminar on telepathy between identical twins, where they are shocked to discover that not only are they investigating identical murders, but their lives are intimately linked by a number of inexplicable similarities and coincidences

While working together to unravel the clues purposely left by the killers, the detectives realize they have but five days to find the killers before they strike again, only this time the killings will be much closer to home if they fail.

Paper Thoughts
Vanessa Lewis
5.0 Out of 5 Stars (10 Reviews)
Genre: Biographies & Memoirs

FREE for a limited time

Vanessa wrote this book to sort of stop time and give readers a personal and intimate look inside her life filled with triumphs and struggles, though her journals she kept during her teen years.

How many parents say to themselves in frustration, “I don’t know what is going on with my teenager!” or “I wish I knew what they were thinking!”

When you buy this book you will be able to:

• Read about the inner thoughts of a teen and see how life choices were made.
• Learn how battles were picked between mom and daughter.
• See how Vanessa’s mom cultivated a relationship with her, instead of listening to people around her. (Kick her out!)
• Notice how Vanessa hid what was going on in her life. There was a whole other world that was hidden out of sight.

TEENS, how many teenagers feel like they are alone and no one understands them? There are probably quite a few. Vanessa also wrote this book with them in mind so that they can:
• Relate to the struggles of what Vanessa went through in her junior high and high school years.
• Know that sometimes, even though problems seem definite and never ending, they really are a temporary situation. And when a situation is seen temporary, well, the dark cloud over head doesn’t seem so dark.
• And of course, how life was as a punk.

Who can read this book? Anyone really. No matter who you are, it’s overall a great read.

Parents will be able to gain knowledge on how to relate to their teen better, and teens will be able to see how life was back in the 1980’s. That problems are problems no matter what year you live in. (The 1980’s and beyond).)

Vanessa didn’t intentionally write the book to be funny or comical. The way her journals were written, is the way it is in the book. Talk about some memories of relationships, romance and adventures with friends! And she is glad to be able to share them with you.
