First thing on a Sunday morning I should not be asked what my password is. No one should be asked what their password is before they have had a cup of coffee. It’s wrong and sure to make them instantly crazy. I just went from sleepy happy person to crazed lunatic. I KNOW IT’S THE RIGHT PASSWORD! I am eating some bacon now and calming down. Two pieces should do the trick.

An ideal short read for fans of prepper fiction

The world had finally reached a point of stability. There were no more World Wars. Cancer and AIDS were both on the verge of being permanently cured. Humanity was finally growing up.

Unfortunately for every person alive on planet Earth that situation wasn’t going to last very much longer as the global networks for supplying food and clean water eventually crash under the weight of 14 billion people. The environmental forecasts were wrong, the masses were lied to, and millions were starting to die because of that.

As the world struggles with unending thirst and hunger some countries decide to settle old scores with their neighbors, terrorists get their hands on weaponry created by DARPA, and the Cold War turns hot. It’s around this time that the oil industry falls apart, as the last wells run dry and the oil barons go broke.

Prosperity’s End is shocking look at what the future holds for humanity, as it slowly starts to become extinct by its own hand.

There is, however, always hope…

This is a short story prequel to The Best of Fools

The complete opposite of her parents, Jane doesn’t like reading love stories and can’t stand all things romance, but most especially she hates her name. “No, not that Jane Austen,” she’s said so many times to so many teachers, friends, and strangers, while lamenting the fact that her parents named her after one of their favorite authors, the very author who sparked their own love story.

Jane isn’t looking for a love story, and on the eve of her 18th birthday she happily considers changing her name and finally steering her life away from the self-imposed expectations that come with it, but… she meets a charming British boy on his way back home and everything she’s fought hard to control suddenly becomes irresistible.

Although the act brings with it a sense of tremendous relief, Reuben takes no pleasure in it. The subsequent murder of his sister, though, is an entirely different matter. When done, in fact, his only regret is that he can’t kill her all over again.

Sixty-four years later, when four year old Sophie Crandall is abducted from her grandfather’s home in rural Maine, the ensuing investigation brings answers no one, least of all the police, are prepared to hear.
