It’s almost like a disorder, but it’s very useful around the holiday season. Every year in June I get the urge to go Christmas shopping. Maybe it’s because the Hallmark channel does Christmas in July with all those romances I just can’t get enough of. I can’t help myself really. Tis the season to find stuff my friends and family would actually like on sale now. Oddly, I don’t have the urge to make anything right now, so I am figuring that any second I will get inspired and the idea will hit me like a ton of bricks and I will get to crafting. Any second now. (waiting for the hit)…. Now? Nope. The only thought in my mind is the large amount of rats I have been seeing at night around the chicken coop. That’s not very inspiring. Rats just don’t scream Christmas. Actually… Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. So if I put a Christmas tree in the chicken coop, will the rats go to sleep?

How hard are you willing to fall for the person you love?

19-year-old twins Aster and Ivy fight to survive and exist in their confined worlds, one is in a museum competing on a reality TV show, while the other is in prison. Without any means of communication, the secrets the twins learn about each other begin tearing them apart, making them doubt if they ever knew each other at all.

It has an original plot that has been very cleverly thought out, and is one that I guaranteed will grab the reader from the first page. It isn’t just a simple story of winning a prize or getting out of jail free; it is a story of deceit, of lies and secrets that unfold throughout the plot. –review by Readers’ Favorite

WORDS DO HAVE THE POWER TO KILL.
It’s a mystery that even the world’s most notorious critic would enjoy. There’s only one problem, he’s the victim and there are more suspects than could fit into the most intricate whodunnit?
When Robert Randall is found horribly murdered in his London penthouse the world of showbiz heaved a sigh of relief. The acid tongued critic was dubbed “the Slayer” for his take-no-prisoners approach and his fame was such that a disapproving review could shut a production down. As Jonathan Roper, Scotland Yard’s most unique investigator, is about to discover he had an awful lot of enemies. Together with his boss Chief Inspector Brian Hooley, the autistic detective has his work cut out.
The Slayer’s fame is world wide and everything is being carried out under the unwelcome glare of global coverage. Despite the intensity Roper still finds time to hand the long-suffering Hooley his brutally frank personal comments on his life-style choices. Their special relationship provides a warm and funny counterpoint to a hard boiled mystery.
To Kill A Critic is a short, stand-alone, story in the crime series Jonathan Roper investigates. Buy this brilliant book today and curl up for a few hours of reading pleasure.
