We finally hit our limit of twelve colonies, with ten swarms being caught this swarm season. I was hoping to catch, if I was lucky, two swarms. I am way past my goal. Using up all the bee boxes that were gifted to us, we have reached our limit of twelve beehives. Eleven of those in my partner in crimes backyard and one in my yard. My partner in crime’s hubby doesn’t seem to mind us turning their yard into a bee city, so I am really wondering when we will actually stop. I just can’t pass up a free swarm, and they are a daily occurrence. I am even getting to the point where I am rating the swarm based on the size. Hmph.. that one is small. Only maybe 3000 bees. WHOA!!! MINE! That one is at least 9000 bees!! Mind you, I am a horrible judge of how big a swarm is, so I think I just say that for my own entertainment. This morning I am dropping off swarm number 10. I think I might hide in my room for the rest of the day just in case a swarm knocks on my door. I have nothing left to put them in. Although I think I might have an Amazon box in the garage….
