I like not putting two and two together. Ignorance or denial are pretty awesome things. A friend of mine, who is a science teacher, showed me an experiment she was doing with her kids. She was teaching her kids the life cycle of fruit flies or some little winged critter. I am not going to lie, it was fascinating, but I was sure I didn’t want to know the whole story. I am almost certain she got the flies from the fruit that was were chomping on. I always thought the flies sensed we had fruit in the house and came from the outside, or just rode on top of the fruit into the house. Don’t quote me on this, but I think…. THEY ARE INSIDE THE FRUIT! Okay… deep breath. Just push the knowledge out of the brain.. push push push. It’s not working. Go to a happy place. My bananas have never had flies around them. Ahhhhhhh. Feeling better.

But as Andreas and Gerwalta set out to retrieve a runaway wolf, they discover not the beasts they expected, but the beauty within. Each fights against the tendering of their heart, knowing that there is one immutable law neither can outrun: it is a crime for a wolfsretter and a lupine to love.
A crime punishable by death.
Beauty and the Betrayer is the story of Die Verräterin, the infamous betrayer referenced in the contemporary paranormal urban fantasy fairytale, the Red Hood Chronicles.
