My poor sweet baby bassets went into their rooms this morning to do their schooling over Zoom, and when they came out a few hours later, there was a strange smell they were not familiar with. They also couldn’t find me at first. I am sure they were worried half to death. That smell was me cooking, and I was in the kitchen. A place they normally wouldn’t think to look for me. I am not they best cook, but one thing I am very good at is making my mom’s recipe for Eggplant Parmesan as well as broccoli casserole. I also stole my neighbors recipe for artichoke dip. So it smells intensely delicious in the house right now. I am cooking everything in advance for the Halloween party tomorrow. My plan is to be able to finish the set up tomorrow with little to no stress. Which is kinda funny because I spent the whole week killing myself to get everything set up beforehand, that I wonder if five days of stress for one relaxing day was a smart plan. Who knows. All I know is I am very excited about Halloween this year.
