After seeing how much stuff I had for sale at the garage sale, I swore I would not go thrifting until all of it was gone. Apparently I lied to myself because I was back at it yesterday. I told myself I was just going with my youngest baby basset to pick up a few books. Five minutes after we got there I already had three things in my cart and they weren’t books. I did multiple passes through the whole store and gathered a pretty impressive number of treasures. Then I put it all back. Except my baby’s books. I was feeling pretty good about myself. Until I dropped off my other baby basset at football practice and stopped by a different thrift shop, “Just to look”. I will give myself some credit. I only got two things, and one item I should be able to sell pretty quickly. Next week I will be camping so I will have a chance to detox a bit. Do you remember for a while it was very popular to call yourself a mermaid? People had mugs and t-shirts with shiny fishtails on them. Well, I am a mermaid.
