I get the feeling I am the only one celebrating Christmas in July. Everyone that I even mention Christmas in July to, rolls their eyes and tells me I am crazy. For the record I am not crazy. It’s not like I am putting up a Christmas tree and singing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. No, I am just buying decorations at garage sales and thrift stores, and I am planning my decorations that I won’t put up until the day after Thanksgiving. July is when all the good stuff comes out and at really low prices. I also really like to watch the Hallmark Original Christmas movies this time of year, but I haven’t had any time to. For some reason though I just don’t feel like I am missing out on any new plot lines. Strange. That can’t be right  can it??

One mother. One daughter. One haunted town.

Niamh

Widow. Divorcee. Mother.

Retired ghost hunter.

Something has just unleashed dozens of 200-year-old ghosts on my hometown. And my seventeen-year-old daughter wants to be the one to solve the mystery. Isn’t that just great?

Little does she know that a ghost killed her dad. Which is why I really, really don’t want either of us to go near them ever again.

But, of course, she’s my daughter. Stubbornness runs in the family.

So does ghost hunting. If I don’t look into the ghosts haunting the town, I’ll never be able to live with myself if someone else gets hurt.

But how can I when I’m terrified they’ll hurt my family again?

Edie
I never signed up to be a ghost hunter. I was born one.

But my mum won’t let me do it. Which means I can see ghosts, but I can’t actually do anything.

I can’t help them. I can’t help the people they haunt. And, if she had her way, I wouldn’t event talk to them. Ugh.

What’s the point in having magic if you can’t even use it?

I need to prove to Mum, once and for all, that I can do this. The question is, how?

Discover a whole new world of ghosts, magic, and romance in The Ghost’s Call, the first book in a new mother/daughter fantasy series. It’s a little bit spooky, sprinkled with romance, and seriously sarcastic. Perfect for fans of Charmed, Supernatural, Ghost Whisperer, and Lost Girl.

It’s no wonder that truth is stranger than fiction. Fiction has to make sense. — Mark Twain

After selling their Minnesota home, Travis and Wendy plan an elaborate departure from the United States before repatriating themselves to the UK. Buying a second-hand RV, visiting states unknown, and selling the campervan after reaching Florida seems like the perfect exit. So they pack their lives and blind Shih Tzu into a once-luxurious thirty-one-foot RV and hit the open road.

As they roll through the Midwest, heading for the Deep South, they soon discover “RV” doesn’t mean “Reliable Vehicle.” Historical sites give way to repair shops and the excitement of the once-in-a-lifetime trip quickly turns into apprehension of what’s around the next corner. With the wheels literally coming off the wagon, bogus repairs, temperatures rising inside the RV and under the hood, sleeping in junkyards, and being laughed at by the Mississippi police, the once-happy couple just want the nightmare to end so they can return to England. But the Minnesota Department of Motor Vehicles has the final say as to when they can leave.

Of course it’s a true story. You couldn’t make it up.
