I had a man come to my door a few days ago offering to get rid of the bugs in my yard and inside the house. He handed me a nice laminated card with pictures of all the bugs he could eliminate for me. Spiders, pill bugs, cute little grasshoppers. He was a bit confused by my reaction. “But I love bugs! I built my whole garden around attracting bugs.” Now, to be fair, coach roaches were on the list. I could see why you would want a service to get rid of those guys. I could do without ticks. But spiders??? I asked him if he was offering to kill ALL the bugs in my yard. Yes, he would treat the whole area. The thought of the entire yard being poisoned was so confusing to me. I said no thank you and he went on his way. Now all I can think about is are any of my neighbors going to use his service? Oh man.
