Happy Friday! I am pretty excited. We are packing up to go camping for the weekend. Usually I would be a bit stressed about the drive, but this time the drive is only 30 minutes down the road. I love camping so close to home. Once camp is set up it always feels far from home, but if I forgot anything, I can just pop back home and get it. Unfortunately the fires have made it kinda gross to be outside. Oddly we are so used to it, it doesn’t bother us as much as it should. If we let smoke and fire stop us from doing things we would never go anywhere. That right there is a very sad statement. Oh well… I will get smores.

The 1st Assassin: A Unit 22 Thriller

I once worked for the government, going into missions that never officially happened, killing enemies we never officially killed. They gave me a bunch of medals, partly for doing my job well, mostly to keep my mouth shut.

I still work for the government, but now I ride a desk, barely tolerated by my boss, barely tolerating myself. My world is turned upside down when I am put on a task force investigating an assassination plot against the US President.

Nothing is as it seems, the enemy always seems to be one step ahead of us, and I must keep myself and those I care about alive long enough to get to the bottom of this conspiracy.

The clock is ticking, the body count is mounting, and the assassins never stop coming.

Greetings from Junction, Alabama. It’s a welcoming place. Except if you are Tucker O’Neill.
An unexpected move from Massachusetts to Alabama took 17-year-old Tucker away from friends, a beloved golf course, and the hope of winning a state championship. He was in the unenviable position of being the new kid in town, the one with a different accent. His resentment waned when he met next-door neighbor, Priscilla – the prettiest girl in town. However, the excitement was short-lived when her jealous, uber-rich boyfriend and reigning state golf champion harassed him at every turn. Tucker knew the move would not be easy, but he never imagined it would be so difficult.

Tucker had a choice: maintain self-control or give in to mounting pressure. In a moment of desperation, he compromised his integrity for the sake of pride and was forced to live with the indiscretion while battling to make the golf team. He gained support from new friendships and found peace and tranquility in an old, rusty bench he restored. It was a place of reflection while he coped with the difficulties encountered in the small town.

Eden to Evil: NEW Updated Edition: Exposing the Truth of Our Origins and Creation
by Gerry Burney
4.5 Stars (29 Reviews)
Genre: Religion & Spirituality

FREE for a limited time

In the original edition of Eden to Evil, Gerry Burney explains the difference between the two biblical creation accounts: “Eden” creation and the “7-day” creation. They diverge in so many ways that many believe both cannot be true.

Did God make a mistake — and how do we fit into the two accounts?

But if the two accounts were not a mistake, then God must have given us a riddle that only those who search for truth will uncover. Burney deciphers the riddle to show how the answer helps us understand the Bible and how we view ourselves. Are we sinner or saints?

In his new updated edition, Burney builds on the original, clarifying why a third of the angels rejected God’s authority, thus exposing how early civilizations so easily accepted Satan the serpent. Now we can finally understand why we experience suffering and tragedy in God’s “very good” creation and why we need a Savior.
