Here is a little cup of funny for you. “I’ll never understand people who get in the fast lane just to drive the speed limit. Move over buddy, this lane is for crime.” I mean… YA! I stay out of the fast lane because I am always going the speed limit. I also always get past. Even when I am doing a good 10 miles over the speed limit I am getting past like I was standing still. My problem is I think the front end of my car is going to just all of a sudden fall out, so I like to be near the edge just in case. Hubby thinks I am crazy and the car is fine. I just have a feeling that it will happen so I play it safe. I also stay far far away from logging trucks. I have seen Final Destination, I know what happens.

She’s gaining quite the reputation as a baker with a magical touch, but a few obstacles stand in her way. Darcy: A Pride and Prejudice Variation: A Pride and Prejudice Variation (Warleigh Hall Press Jane Austen Series)
by Alice McVeigh
4.0 Stars (364 Reviews)
Genre: Adaptations & Pastiche | Historical Fiction | Romance

FREE for a limited time

(NOTE FROM WARLEIGH HALL PRESS: “DARCY is classic fiction and NOT primarily a romance – though there IS romance included.”)

Take a deep dive into Darcy.

McVeigh puts the spotlight on Darcy in this imaginative re-telling of Austen’s classic tale. In a timeless story of love amid the clash of social classes, Darcy is faced with a terrible choice: to stay in London to force Wickham’s hand – or to go to Rome, to salvage his family’s reputation.

With a new Darcyesque slant, omitted scenes from the original, and an extra helping of humour – including excerpts from The Wisdom and Wit of Miss Mary Bennet – this is a fresh new Pride and Prejudice with (wedding) bells on!

Our Family’s Spirits: Stories Based on Real Paranormal Experiences
by Susan B. Lovejoy
Genre: Literature & Fiction

FREE for a limited time

New England is an area rich in historical homes where one is bound to run into spirits that wander the halls or show up in the most unlikely places.

The stories in this collection came from actual paranormal events that either my family, friends, or I have experienced. A few stories are written more closely to what actually happened, and I took creative liberty with others.

Some of the stories include: a house known to the neighborhood kids as haunted, an animated bear with a mind of its own, an old woman from another era who only shows herself to the men in the house, a narrow escape in a cemetery, a former hospital where the young spirits wander about, and much more. Enjoy!

One Punch continues the series begun by Storey, described by one reviewer as a “highly intelligent, witty and well-plotted thriller”, and by others as “very entertaining”, “a great read” and “an unusual thriller”.
