The first day of Spring is not until March 19th. So… it’s still Winter. I am really trying to hammer that in to my head. Yesterday I was out in the garden pulling a few little weeds, trimming the hydrangea, and just cleaning up the beds a bit. The sun was shining and there are colorful bulbs already starting to bloom. A few days of nice weather does not mean it is safe to buy new plants. I also keep thinking I want to get a jump on the growing season and plant now for bigger plants a blooms later. I don’t think I will ever learn my lesson when it comes to gardening. I purposely ignore planting instructions, freeze warnings, and common sense, just to do what I want instead. Then, of course, I am often sneaking around hiding plants that I killed, and hoping hubby doesn’t notice them gone. Or that I had them at all. I am going to set a goal for today only. I will not buy any new plants. I will deal with tomorrow later
