So after the excitement of having a jet fly low over my house, I went off to the grocery store. I was a bit in my head thinking about how cool it was and how I hoped I would get another chance to see it again. I walked down each aisle, in the same pattern I always do, daydreaming and grabbing items that were on my list. I don’t think I fully need to be present when I grocery shop. I have the route mesmerized like my Pac-Man pattern from my childhood. When I finished my shopping I got in line behind a few other people. Two registers were open and there were easily five people in each line, so I settled in and zoned out for the long wait. It wasn’t even a minute later that a man in jeans and a black hoodie sweatshirt raced up to my cart, grabbed my apples and in a very stern voice asked me if I had any wearables. I jumped! WHAT??? Then he grabbed my cart and ran off with it. WHAT IS HAPPENING?? Turns out he was taking my cart to the self checkout line, and he started scanning my items. He was fast, my groceries were flying out of the cart. I stood there a bit confused (seems to be my state that day) listening to him grumble about lines and the fact that he can’t wear a store shirt. Then he snapped at me that he works in the store. Ohhhhh. It wasn’t wearables he was asking about, it was weighables. He was very gruff, but darn he was fast. I was out the door in no time. So to sum up my day. No, my car is not going to explode. And No, I didn’t get robbed of my groceries. So not much happened yesterday.

Genre: Westerns | Classics

Archer Quinn’s latest mission for the railroad to track down the thief Leighton Cox seems straightforward enough, but when he follows his quarry to his hometown of Bigelow Springs events take a strange turn.
Leighton is killed and before he dies he claims that he was shot by the man in black. At first this declaration bemuses Archer as that described the figure displayed on the old sign hanging outside his brother’s mercantile.
When more people are killed Archer sets out to track down the mystery gunslinger, but it soon becomes clear that to stop the gunman’s murderous rampage he will have to confront something that’s even more troubling: a shameful secret that his family had hoped would remain buried forever.
