Every year I try to grow something from seed. This year it is  peachy orange Snapdragons. I picked out the perfect pots, followed the directions closely, and found a nice easy spot for them to grow. I even filled a watering can and placed it next to them, so I can give them gentle waterings if needed. Now I wait. Or more accurately, now I completely abandon and forget I even planted them, and feel the guilt and sense of failure that comes with it. Every year!

SHE NEEDS A KID TO CATCH A KILLER… BUT HOW TO CATCH THE KID?

The TENTH installment of the Skip Langdon series is a New Orleans feast for the senses, a canine love story, an action-packed police procedural made-to-order for readers who like their female sleuths bold, smart, and refreshingly human. A serial killer is using Airbnb units to stage his murders, but a teenage runaway has escaped his grasp and now she’s in the wind, believing she’s killed him. Meanwhile the real killer stalks the city – and her.

Cody, the pink-haired sixteen-year-old, should be in school or at the mall texting her friends, not hanging out at the intersection of serial murder and human trafficking. When the options are: (1) Return to a life of slavery (2) Go to jail for murder (3) Be killed by a serial killer, Option 4 makes perfect sense – RUN! As mean as the streets of The City That Care Forgot can be, this child attracts angels (often unlikely ones) – and entire packs of dogs – who come to her aid.

She also finds a friend in NOPD’s newest Sergeant – big (six-foot!), beautiful, tough, and tender-hearted Skip Langdon. Skip knows her best hope of finding the killer is to find Cody – plus she feels for the girl, in whom she recognizes a younger version of her plucky, resourceful, whip-smart self. The city’s hard-boiled; the detective has a heart the size of the Superdome.

They say the best way to get over one man is to get under another one… and another. And another.

I’m on the wrong side of my quarter-life crisis. Dead-end job, lease ending, and single af. It’s made all the harder by knowing exactly who the perfect man for me is: my super hot, incredibly kind, and extremely taken friend Austin. What’s a girl to do but drown her troubles in pinot and let her bestie open her an account on a dating app?

If there are other men for me out there, I’m determined to find them. Spring is for new beginnings, and Finn’s abs are a perfect introduction to dating.

Unless, of course, perfection is as overrated as my new app.

They say no one knows you like your best friend… but she has a lot to answer for with Dune.

As I follow a man named Hambone through a biker bar filled with ominous tattoos, impressive beards, and enough leather to cover the Rockies, only one thought is in my mind–

I’m going to kill Charlotte when this blind date is over.

But once I see Dune, covered in sexy tattoos, impressive muscles, and exactly the right amount of leather, it’s hard to think at all. The man has a bad-boy look that won’t quit and a good-guy job as an accountant. Even I can do this math: him plus me, minus clothes.

This good girl is about to get a little bit bolder in search of truth, justice, and a rebellious phase.

The first two books in the laugh-out-loud Dating Season series together in one bundle. Includes Spring Fling and Summer Rebound.
