Yesterday my 30 days was up. I had snoozed for 30 days all of my friends that consistently post negative things on Facebook. I didn’t want to unfriend them, because I still like them, but I found that all the negativity was really wearing on me. Snoozing them seemed like the perfect solution. Apparently it was. As soon as the negativity started popping back up on my news feed, the old feelings of anger came flooding back. After I hit snooze on some of my friends, my timeline certainly wasn’t filling with as many new posts as it was before. I often found myself looking at the same posts multiple times, but they were pleasant happy posts. I was relaxed. I even found myself less compelled to check FB as often throughout the day. I was going through a bit of a detox. Yesterday the snooze was over and the negativity came flooding back. I was angry instantly. Despite that, it’s weird how I am hesitant to snooze them again. I feel like I am going to be missing out on something. If I want to be honest with myself, the only thing I will be missing is the anger. Sooooo….snooze again.
