My sweet baby bassets love their video games… a lot. They get very excited about all the different things they can do in their games such as building, finding gems or trolls. Maybe it’s zombies that they find, not trolls. I have no idea. Even when I was a kid, I just couldn’t get that into video games. Sure I loved Pac-Man, and Space invaders, but I had no interest in the long adventures of Zelda. So here I am now with two baby bassets that love to tell me all about what they are doing in their video games. I know as a parent I need to show interest in what they have a passion for, and listen to them. It’s good for their self confidence and our relationship now and in the future. But please… no more. I CAN’T LISTEN TO ANOTHER MINUTE ABOUT MINECRAFT! OUCH! Whoever said you have to listen to your kids, didnt know about Minecraft. They couldnt have known. Gems, Creepers, pigs! It never ends. Literally, they can play this game for hours/days/ years building stuff. There are endless possabilities in the game. Endless… What came first day drinking or Minecraft?

How do you defeat an enemy you cannot touch? When you’re fighting shadows, it pays to remember what might be lurking behind the curtain.

At just fourteen, Elliot may not appear to have the skills for the job, but he has had an unusual childhood. Trained from birth as an assassin, there’s no one better qualified to stop this menace.

With a wayward time traveller, a professor of the arcane, and a city full of intelligence operatives on his tail, can Elliot find a way to take on and defeat the deadly alien shadow? Are MI6 agents really harder than those from the Coldhorn Initiative? Do they do any actual studying in Oxford?

Because Elliot also has another, deeper secret and something he fears above everything else: it might have been his fault that the shadow creature emerged in the first place.

This science-fiction thriller is a dark and humorous tale of wayward superheroes, the evil megacorporation stalking them, and the teamwork it will take to save the world.

Yossi Yassour, an Israeli bestselling author and esteemed professor of Business Administration, presents the fascinating field of decision-making in a clear, humorous, and accessible language, to allow you to make the decisions that are most right for you.

You are watching a reality TV show you enjoy. At the same time, a friend calls you and tells you that a competing TV channel is showing a different reality TV show you like. When you put down the phone, are you in a better situation than you were before? Even though you now have more choices, you may be surprised to discover that most people would say your situation is worse. But how is this logical?

Whether we are aware of it or not, we make decisions every moment of our life. The problems begin to form when we base too many of our decisions on wrong comparisons, misinformation, misguided risk assessment, and other negative emotional influences.

The reasons for our failures are many, complex, and varied. Sometimes the consequences are no more than amusing, but sometimes they are critical. However, they are certainly avoidable. If we are more aware of the things that affect our decisions, we will be able to make smarter, braver, and more accurate decisions that will improve and enrich our lives and those of the people around us.

Professor Yossi Yassour, Doctor of Business Administration from Harvard University, has focused his work and his academic writing on the field of decision theory for nearly 50 years. Based on his many years of experience, insights from research he has conducted with his colleagues, and other academic work done by the world’s best researchers, he invites you into the wonderfully fascinating world of decision theory, its practical applications, and the many methods you can employ to avoid failure while making decisions.
