It is taking all of my willpower not to pack up Christmas and get it out of my house and back in the attic. I would like to keep it up until at least January 2, but I can see that will be next to impossible. A lot of you have told me I should keep it up until at least January 8th, but OH MY GOSH… I just can’t. What used to twinkle, now is just dusty and has cookie crumbs all around it. I went to Target yesterday and I saw Valentines Day stuff popping up. NO! Stop it. With Christmas at my back and Valentines Day ready to punch me in the face, I just want all holidays out of my house for a while to give me a chance to breath. I will keep the tree up though. I like the nightlight.

Six months ago, I lost my husband. Six hours ago, I found out he had another family. Six minutes ago, my life changed forever.

For my 45th birthday, I planned to treat myself to a spa day with my bestie. But instead, my late husband’s insurance broker drops by to let me know that not only am I still widowed, but my husband’s insurance policies are being paid to his other wife – and his other family. Happy birthday to me.

Shell-shocked and still forty-five, my spa day becomes wine night as I attempt to drown my sorrows with music and dancing. The next thing I know, I’m being romanced by an Indiana Jones wannabe who arrives like a dervish to sweep me off my feet. One thing leads to another but before anything happens, Indy goes missing, the place is trashed, and I’ve got myself a glowing snake tattoo that seems to be talking to me about magic, curses, and a hex that is going to kill me. And I get to do the walk of shame – without having any of the fun. I arrive home to find Logan Gentry, a tall, dark drink of water who seems to think I am some ancient magical being sent here to solve his problems.

On any other day, I would bust out my Taser and show him who’s boss but there’s something about his story – and the fact that he knows all about my talking tattoo – that draws me in. One thing is for sure… this guy knows more about what’s happened to me than I do. If I help him, maybe I’ll find some answers along the way. Assuming the curse on my possessed tattoo doesn’t kill me first.

Age is just a number, right? Especially when you’re possessed by an ancient Oracle.

A paranormal women’s fiction romance with a feisty heroine in serious midlife crisis, a talking tattoo, a chain-smoking ghost in a housedress, and an adventure that proves you’re never too old to start over from USA Today Bestselling author Lisa Manifold.

The book will be your strongest ally in combatting social awkwardness and will arm you with plenty of icebreaking pieces of trivia, suitable for any occasion.

Following the success of my site RaiseYourBrain and numerous requests from readers, I decided to compile some of the most interesting facts in a book. That’s why I decided to collect the best gems of breath-taking trivia and to present you a great compilation of verified facts, suitable for a broad audience. This is the result of years of sifting through history and reference books on a myriad of subjects as well as searching the Internet and paying attention to the news.

This book is intended to be fun for anyone older than 14 – even the most ‘spicy’ entries, neatly separated in the chapter “Facts about human and animal sexuality”, remain factual and abstain from profanity. To my greatest delight, an avid reader of my site explained that she has been preparing daily fact sheets for her son’s lunch box. She prints out three facts every day to create some lunchtime fun for her son, thus enticing him to read more and provoking his intellectual curiosity. I wish my parents had done something like that for me!

I confess that most trivia books are insufferably boring. This book is different, packed with interesting, educational and fun ingredients; it seeks to entertain as well as challenge. It will provide you with never-ending intellectual ammunition for a lifetime of dinner parties. You will amaze your friends and family by recounting to them that the greatest Chinese pirate of all times was a woman, or that herrings use flatulence to communicate!
